A COVID-19 Update from Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center

Dear Patrons,

We are reaching out to you to let you know that we are taking the quickly changing COVID-19 virus situation very seriously. As a business which is all about people coming together, we have implemented every measure and precaution to create an environment for our guests that is as safe as possible.

Some examples:

  • Increased frequency of disinfecting contact surfaces during events

  • Training all staff in vigilant hand washing

  • Increasing the cleaning and sanitizing frequency of the all public areas of the GBPAC including all restrooms

  • Having event staff open doors for guests whenever possible

  • Monitoring closely the health of our staff and volunteers and enforcing a strict stay home policy for anyone showing any symptoms of illness

At the same time, we encourage all of our patrons to follow the same vigilance and take seriously the responsibility to not come to an event if you’re experiencing any symptoms of illness. We will happily give you a full credit to use for this or next season's shows after the virus passes or offer you a refund if you prefer. If you don’t feel well, don’t risk it, stay home and we’ll see you when you are feeling better. This is a temporary circumstance and we will all get through it together.

Entertainment, music and community play a very important role in facilitating the experience of happiness and joy in a busy, challenging world, as well as a respite from the daily pressures of news, politics and the strife of the world. We feel a strong responsibility that the shows must go on, not just for ourselves, but to be that community gathering spot, the town hall, to provide that comfort and space. We will meet this challenge as the arts meet all challenges, by putting people first and creating safe experiences that bring us closer - even if we need to reduce handshakes and hugs for a bit.
